Eating is basically the consumption of food, usually in order to give an organism homotrophic energy to enable growth and to give an organism’s nutrients. The body needs calories to survive. When you eat your body breaks down the food into certain compounds called carbohydrates, fats and proteins which are then turned into glucose which is a fuel used by the muscles for energy. This energy is released through the blood as a result of an exercise, through the lungs for breathing and so on. Therefore eating is very important for the existence of our life and well-being on this planet.
So why do we need to eat? What are the benefits of eating? Why do some people think that eating healthy is a luxury and a deprivation? Well eating is a necessary and healthy part of our everyday life. So if you are thinking that eating healthy is just a way of being lazy or a waste of time, then you are wrong because eating healthy is good for the mind and the body.

These processed foods tend to contain preservatives, additives, chemicals and other harmful elements that can cause damage to our body organs such as our liver and kidney.
Some of the nutrients that we need to eat are protein, carbohydrate and fiber. Protein can come in the form of meat, poultry, eggs, fish and beans. Carbohydrate can come in the form of whole grain bread, pastas, cereals and potatoes. Fiber can be found in vegetables and fruits such as tomatoes, broccoli and cabbage. Most importantly, fats should not be eaten because they will clog up your arteries and lead to high blood pressure.
If you want to be healthy, then eating the right kind of foods will help you a great deal. Also, it is not good to eat large amount of junk food because it can make you gain weight instead of losing weight. Also, if you find that you are consuming more calories than you are burning, then you need to adjust your diet. Avoid eating fatty foods as well because they will clog up your digestive system.
In conclusion, if you want to lose weight, lose it gradually. Sticking to a strict diet will affect the functioning of your digestive system and this can cause problems. It will only make you gain more weight and eventually you will feel very uncomfortable. There is no benefit in starving yourself or putting your health at stake. Instead, take gradual weight loss steps and do not eat anything you do not like.
